Hello dear readers, and welcome to our first status update and blog post of 2016!
Happy New Year!
Soviet Games team wish you the best in the upcoming year! We’re all thankful for you support these years, and we are going to bring you another great visual novel “Love, Money, Rock’n’Roll” in 2016!
Winter is coming
Winter is coming!
Which means, it’s time to write yet another blog post. In the previous ones we’ve told you about almost all aspects of our game: the story, the sprites and CG, the music, the technical side of things. However, one thing was undeservedly left neglected – the backgrounds. Today we are correcting this omission and presenting you the room of LMR’s main character, created by our background artist, ArseniXC!
Autumn mood
Greetings, pioneers!
Fall is upon us, and yet we have kept our silence for far too long. This is not, however, to be interpreted as a sign that work has come to a stop. The fact of the matter is simply that nothing noteworthy has happened since our last post; development is progressing right on schedule, and you should expect to hear an important announcement from us sometime in the near future (couple months, tops).
Meanwhile, we’d like to share with you a few scenes from “Love, Money, Rock’n’Roll”.
Music matters
Every project has its difficulties. However, no project is more complicated than real life. That is why Soviet Games is looking for talented musicians to join our team! What exactly we are looking for is synth-pop, all different styles of 80s guitar music, and even this brand new New Retro Wave thing. But the deciding and most important factor will certainly be the person themselves. Rock’n’Roll is only one part of our game’s name, and Love and Money are as important!
Our contact e-mail is still the same: [email protected]
Technical matter
It’s been quite a while since the last post, and right now we would like to talk about the technical part of the future game. After all, you are already familiar with the story and, especially, the art. There is also a certain interesting (kind of) new thing that we would like to talk about today.
The engine we will be using is the well-known Unity3D, which will allow us to release the game on all major platforms at the same time, and will significantly increase the performance of mobile versions. As a result, you will be able to comfortably play on both desktop and mobile devices.
One small step
It’s been a month since the site’s launch, and we think that the time has come for a new blog post. Firstly, we would like to tell you about what has been done in this time.
Here we shall prosper!
